The new org chart

Great piece in BusinessWeek about mapping the real relationships inside a company instead of just the formal who reports to who chart.

The best part is where consulting firm MWH Global asked its IT employees not only "which colleagues they consulted most frequently" and "who they turned to for expertise" but also "who either boosted or drained their energy levels."
