"Perfecting Pitches" from The Economist

The Economist this week reports on how marketing folks are looking for ways to do more with less during the downturn.

Most interesting: Companies who are finding ways to use the downturn and fears of rising costs to their benefit - either indirectly or in their actual campaigns. Rising energy/commodity prices are becoming a great scapegoat for rising prices.

And a terrific AirTran Airways slogan was quoted: "fares cheaper than a tank of gas"!
